Description: Presenting you white and dark chocolate marble donuts on World Chocolate Day!
I had baked these a few days ago with a Thermomix recipe shared by a friend; the donuts had come out amazingly well but I feel the marble effect could have been better! This gives me a good excuse to try this recipe again in a few weeks and enjoy the delicious homemade donuts one more time.
Topping:
- 150g white chocolate
- 40g dark chocolate
- 1 tbsp cream.
Ingredients
- 35g olive oil
- 180g plain flour
- 170g yoghurt
- 80g milk
- 100g sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 eggs medium
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 150g white chocolate
- 40g dark chocolate
- 1 tbsp cream.
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 170C and grease two small 6-hole donut moulds.
Combine all dry ingredients and mix well. Repeat the same process for all the wet ingredients.
Mix wet and dry ingredients together with an electric whisker.
Divide between 12 donut holes until 2/3 full and bake for 10-12 minutes at 170C until golden and cooked. Set aside to cool.
Meanwhile to prepare the topping, melt white chocolate and dark chocolate in two separate bowls over some hot water in a pan. Combine cream with melted white chocolate and mix well.
Leave some of this white chocolate and cream mix aside. Now pour in a couple of tiny dark chocolate drops into the white chocolate and cream mixture and make swirls. Dip top half of the donut into this swirly mix and leave on a wire rack to set and drip out excess chocolate. Add some more white and dark chocolate everytime and make new swirls before you dip your donuts into the chocolate. Enjoy!!
