Want to detoxify after a festival? Diwali is gone and I couldn’t wait to start some well needed detox. Tried creating a new drink from all the ingredients present in my house and I am very smug to say that it tasted brilliant!! All the ingredients make this drink high in antioxidants and fibre. Best part is it’s so easy to prepare and you won’t feel guilty sipping this from a lovely cocktail glass as it’s so refreshing and nourishing at the same time. Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tbsp lime juice ( feel free to change to lemon if you don’t have lime)
  • 1 tsp lime zest
  • 2 tbsp honey

Instructions

  • Mix 1/3 cup water and chia seeds in a bowl. Refrigerate for an hour for chia seeds to gel up.
  • Blend the strawberries, lime juice, zest, honey and rest of the water until fully combined.
  • Add the chia water to the limeade and stir to combine. Add more honey as per your taste. The chia seeds may settle in your glass over time so make sure you give the limeade a quick stir if that happens.
