Since cherry blossom season is so short-lived, I have been looking for some recipes to make the most of it. Cherry blossoms in the below recipe are edible & are used for garnishing. The recipe is inspired by @craftsandcocktails however I have used homemade cherry compote (recipe on my previous posts) instead of jam, sugar instead of the simple syrup (for ease). Try out this beautiful cocktail & have a lovely weekend.
Ingredients
- 160ml gin
- 5 tbsp cherry compote
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 40ml dry vermouth
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 8-10 cubes of ice
Instructions
Blend all the ingredients in a food processor & strain through. Garish with fresh edible cherry blossoms/cherries.
