Description: MASALA APPE/PANIYARAM is a very popular South Indian healthy snack. Appes are dumplings made from either rice & urad dal batter, idli or semolina batter. Best part about these appes is that these can be made instantly and can be served for snack or breakfast. They can be made plain, spiced or sweet and are crispy from outside and soft from within. Very easy to make if you have leftover idli batter at home and by just adding the vegetables, spices etc. in the batter. Here, I have perked up semolina batter with some veggies, ginger, curry leaves, green chillies, etc. for that delicious flavour and amazing texture. You require a special cookware – Appe pan/ Ebleskiver Pan with moulds in it; these are available on Amazon.
